Hailey Short

Chair

Hailey Short is the Marketing and Communications Coordinator for the Greater Sudbury Airport. Graduating from Carleton University with a BA Communications Studies, Hailey moved back to her hometown in 2013.  Hailey is passionate about giving back to the Sudbury community. She is currently the Marketing Lead for the Mudmoieselle Run, and Director of Communications for the Modern Mining and Technology Sudbury (MMTS) committee.

Christine Baptista

1st Vice Chair

Christine is a presentations and public speaking coach who helps her clients look and sound their best when speaking to an audience.  A self-professed “herp-nerd,” she is the Chief Know-It-All at Critical Critters and lectures in the Geography department at Laurentian University.  In her spare time, she’d like to take on an exciting hobby like skydiving, but usually she ends up snuggling with her fluffy kitty and her not fluffy boyfriend.

Emily Franceschini

2nd Vice Chair

Emily is the marketing manager for TimeHero and Co-founder/Ambassador of Buzz at Our Crater. A graduate of Cambrian College’s Public Relations program, Emily was born and raised in Sudbury and she is passionate about highlighting the amazing things happening right here in Sudbury – which is why she started Our Crater.

Jordan Richardson

Treasurer

Jordan is a Director at Freedom where he leads a team of financial advisors to long-term success. In his short stint in Sudbury, he is already part of two non-profit boards, mentors a child in the Big Brother’s Big Sister’s program, and is an active member of the Idylwylde Golf Club and Sudbury Men’s Soccer League.

Jean-Claude Fillion

Executive Coordinator

Alumni of Collège Boréal, Jean-Claude Fillion is currently a financial advisor for Desjardins Credit Union in the South End of Sudbury. He is a Big Brother Big Sisters volunteer and takes pride in being a role model for a young boy. At the age of 17, Mr.Fillion created a nonprofit organization and lead to show support and determination for the community. He is determined to use his previous Board of Directors experience, from with RÉFO (Regroupement Étudiants Franco-Ontario), a political representative role for a post secondary institution. He has helped make student’s voices heard, in the goal to develop the French educational system in Ontario.

Lindsey Santerre

Director of Advocacy

Lindsey, born and raised in Sudbury, is the owner of Santerre Legal Services and is a practicing lawyer.  Lindsey enjoys playing sports, traveling and volunteering in the community.

Kallie Doucette

Director of Professional Development

Kallie is a Naturopathic Doctor at Vita Chiropractic and Wellness Centre. She is passionate about helping people live a healthier lifestyle. She received her training from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine after completing a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Kinetics from St. Francis Xavier University. In her spare time Kallie enjoys rock climbing and traveling.

Adam Killah

Director of Marketing

Adam Killah is the Marketing & Communications Officer for Music & Film in Motion, dedicated to the fostering and promotion of Northern Ontario’s booming arts sectors and involved with Sudbury’s Northern Ontario Music & Film Awards, Cinéfest International Film Festival and LOL Comedy Festival. Adam graduated from the Commerce program at Laurentian University and holds a ton of passion for the community’s development.

Amanda Zurkowski

Director of Communications

By day, Amanda, is a Business Development Consultant with Northern Business Solutions. Amanda has proven herself in the industry, and has earned Presidents Club Distinction from her employer, as well as being the only female in all of Canada to earn Ricoh Convergence in 2016 in the dealer channel. Although she does not hail from Sudbury, she has ties to the community, having spent some of her childhood on Manitoulin Island and often travelled to “the big city of Sudbury”. For the past 10 years Amanda has lived in Sudbury, and has really worked hard at establishing a place in the community by being involved in different organizations. By night, Amanda can be found volunteering with EastlinkTV as the rink side voice of the Sudbury Wolves broadcasts, as well as writing for Hockey News North. Away from all of that, Amanda can be found spending time with her partner Jeff, and their combined three kids. In her spare time, she likes to combine her two passions, sports and travelling, so can usually be found in a sports stadium or hall of fame somewhere.
